STUNG by a two-point loss on Leitchville Gunbower’s turf, Mount Pleasant faces the heat from White Hills in Saturday’s fourteenth round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.

Mounts will be home at Toolleen to face the Demons and it’s a crucial contest between third and fourth.

Mount Pleasant’s loss to the Bombers at Gunbower means the side is locked on 32 points with White Hills in the duel to decide a top three berth and double chance come finals time.

While the Blues fought back from a three-goal deficit at the start of the final term they could not halt LG’s run to an 81-79 victory.

White Hills won its 13th round clash at home against Elmore by 68 points as Kaiden Antonowicz kicked 12 goals for a season tally of 48.

When the Demons faced the Blues in round five it was Mounts which won 103 to 52 at White Hills.

Although it’s two wins and significant percentage behind the fifth-placed Lockington Bamawm United, Leitchville Gunbower may have a big say in the make-up of the top five.

The Shannon Keam-coached Bombers beat LBU by 25 points in round five at Leitchville and head to Lockington’s Nichol Trading Oval this Saturday.

The Stacy Fiske-coached LBU chalked up win number seven in a 13-point win at Colbinabbin’s M.J. Morgan Oval last Saturday.

After consecutive defeats and a bye, North Bendigo marked a return to form in a 17-goal win against the Harlowe Huntly Hawks.

Highs of North Bendigo’s win at Huntly’s Strauch Reserve were the seven-goal haul by young gun Cody Riddick and five majors by the high-leaping Dylan Klemm.

The Rob Bennett-coached Bulldogs are home at Hibo Hotel Oval in Atkins Street to tackle Colbinabbin this Saturday.

In round five the Bulldogs were pushed to the limit in an 85-82 victory.

Elmore is back home to take on the ladder-leading Heathcote.

The Andrew Saladino-coached Saints beat the Bloods by 37 points in round five at Barrack Reserve.

Heathcote will be determined to not let the intensity drop against the Mick Woolhouse-coached Bloods.

Huntly has the bye.
