GISBORNE’S premiership-winning coach Tarryn Rymer will take charge of the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL’s open netball team’s representative campaign in 2024.
A busy run for Rymer will include Gisborne’s back-to-back pursuit of A Grade premierships in the BFNL.
There’s also the challenge of being assistant coach for the Bendigo Strikers 23-and-under netball team.
“I am truly honoured to receive the opportunity to coach the Bendigo FNL representative team,” Rymer said.
“Our league is brimming with exceptional talent.”
Rymer has played a key part in Gisborne’s success in netball, particularly as coach of the club’s under-17 program, and now A Grade.
In recent years the BFNL’s campaign at Association level was led by Kangaroo Flat FNC coach Jayden Cowling who stays on at the Roos and has also taken on a coaching role with the Bendigo Strikers in its debut Victorian Netball League season.
Netball Victoria’s Association Championships will again be played at Parkville.
The Bendigo FNL has re-appointed Nicole Donnellon and Sharni McPherson to coach the 17-and-under representative team.
Bendigo has reached the 17-under finals the past two seasons.
The BFNL will mark a return to inter-league football when it plays the Victorian Amateur Football Association on July 6 at Brighton’s Elsternwick Park.
