INSIDE midfielder Terry Reeves, defender Keira Lawry and Lauren Suleiman have won Golden Square Football Netball Club’s top individual honours for 2025.
The talented trio claimed their respective senior football, A-grade netball and senior women’s football best and fairest awards.
Reeves, who won the John Jones Memorial Perpetual Trophy as best and fairest, beat out runner-up Jordan Rosengren for the coveted award.
Brodie James won most consistent; Xav Carter took out most improved; while Harrison Kelly claimed the Cyril Bourke Memorial Perpetual Trophy as the Rising Star.

Jack McMahon was the Bulldogs’ leading goalkicker.
In A-grade netball, Lawry took out her first Bulldogs’ best and fairest award following a fine season in defence.
The Bendigo Strikers VNL Reserves player topped the voting ahead of another of the club’s young guns Daisy Stringer.
Recruit Jessica Smith won the award of merit, while captain and goal shooter Mia McCrann Peters took out the contribution and commitment award.
In senior women’s football, Suleiman beat out Liz Watkins for the top honour in a season in which the Bulldogs finished as CVWFL runners-up.
Ava Barker and MacKenzie Bickley shared the most consistent award; Terina Pickering was most improved; Gabby Drage the leading goalkicker; while Kate Douglass won the coach’s award.

In a special moment on awards night, long-time volunteer and former junior and senior netball coach Melinda Keighran was awarded life membership.
During her long involvement at Wade Street, Keighran has been a key in fostering the club’s successful junior netball pathway.
Behind the scenes, she has managed the club’s social media pages and marketing since 2012, helped build the club’s brand and website, produced countless videos, newsletters and sponsorship resources, and previously helped coordinate major events, including ladies day fundraisers.
