Roos aim to rebound on Strathdale’s ground
KANGAROO Flat will aim to bounce back from defeat when it faces Strathdale-Maristians in Saturday’s start to Bendigo District Cricket first XI action.
Third and first after 10 rounds, the Roos and Suns start the two-day clash at All Seasons International Oval in Strathdale’s Bell Oval precinct at 1pm.
Kangaroo Flat was stung by a 63-run loss to Bendigo United in last Saturday’s one-day match at The Dispensary Oval in Dower Park.
Key players for Flat include Dylan Klemm, Adam Burns, and Chris and Daniel Barber.
Suns stars Cameron Taylor and Sam Johnston took four and three wickets respectively as Golden Square was dismissed for 128.
The chase was led by Daniel Clohesy (50) and James Barri (20 not out).
Bendigo United meets Sandhurst at Harry Trott Oval in Kennington.
The Redbacks’ charge to beat the Roos was led by Harry Donegan (53 runs), Nick Gladman and Miggy Podosky (three wickets each) and Henry Rathjen (1-16 off nine overs).
Sandhurst dismissed Bendigo for 78 at Bendigo District RSL Oval in Weeroona Avenue.
Key players for Sandhurst include captain Dylan Gibson, opening batter Ash Gray, spin bowler Liam Bowe, and Taylor Beard.
Golden Square will be home in Wade Street to play fourth-placed Eaglehawk.
The Bulldogs will look to captain Liam Smith, Scott Trollope, Kyle Humphrys and Scott Johnson to lead the way.
Best for the Hawks in the win against Strathfieldsaye were Cory Jacobs, Ben Williams and Harvey White.
