Roos jump Bulldogs in flag race

THE two best sides in the Bendigo Netball League’s A Grade 2022 competition will compete for grand final glory after Kangaroo Flat downed Gisborne last Saturday.

In a close, 52-49, preliminary final game, the Roos took the win over the Bulldogs and set up delicious premiership decider with the Sandhurst at Queen Elizabeth Oval this weekend.

The Dragons and Kangaroo Flat have been neck-and-neck all year and ended the home and away season equal on wins and only separated by a small margin of percentage.

The season record stands at two to one in favour of the Dragons.

In round four Sandhurst took a thrilling 52-51 home victory over the Roos, but in the return fixture during round 13 it was Kangaroo Flat who grabbed the points with a 66-49 win.

The last time these two sides met was during the first semi final, with the Dragons inflicting a strong 26-65 loss and securing their place in the premiership match and a week’s rest.

Sandhurst have a chance to sweep all senior grades on Saturday, with teams in A Reserve, B Grade and B Reserve as well premiership games as well.

BNL grand final action will get underway at QEO from 9am with Gisborne taking on Kangaroo Flat.

B Reserve goes from 10.30am when Sandhurst meet Gisborne, B Grade is from 12pm with Sandhurst playing South Bendigo, and A Reserve gets underway at 1.30pm where is Sandhurst versus Gisborne again.

The big one, Sandhurst and Kangaroo Flat in the A Grade final is scheduled to get underway at 3pm.
