DOUBLE chance at finals time is what Inglewood will be fighting for in the second half of the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL’s senior footy season.
Inglewood has hit the halfway mark of the home-and-away series on a five and three record and in fourth place.
The Darrell Billett-coached Blues are three wins clear of Calivil United and Maiden Gully YCW.
After the league’s general bye on the King’s Birthday holiday weekend the Blues head to Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve for the showdown between third and fourth.
There’s been no sign of a premiership hangover at Marong.
The Linton Jacobs-coached Panthers have won all eight matches and percentage of 577.
Frontrunner in a chasing pack is Pyramid Hill which was within seven goals of Marong at Malone Park in the fourth round.
The Nathan Fitzpatrick-coached Bulldogs are have lost all but one of their eight matches so far and have a two-week break before their home game at Mitchell Park against Calivil United on 24 June.
