AFTER a hard-earned break, Bendigo Spirit faces three big matches to end the home-and-away series in the Cygnett Women’s National Basketball League’s 2023-24 season.

Bendigo was back on the Red Energy Court in West Bendigo for last Tuesday night’s match against Melbourne Boomers.

Previous meetings between the clubs in Melbourne ended in a one-point win for the Boomers and a three-point victory for Spirit.

Bendigo’s squad will be on the road again for the 15 February showdown with UC Capitals in Canberra.

Spirit dominated both home games against Canberra to win by 22 and 18 points.

Next up for Spirit will be reigning champion Townsville Fire in Queensland on 18 February.

Fire tipped off the season by scoring a 13-point win at Bendigo in the opening round.

Next hit-out between the teams was at The Arena in Geelong where Townsville triumphed by 14 points.

Final game of the regular season for Spirit will be on February 24 against Perth Lynx at Red Energy Arena from 7.30pm.

It’s one-all from this season’s clashes between the clubs in Perth.

Lynx won the first encounter by 10 points, but Spirit ruled by 21 in one of its best games of the season.
