Stevens, Banfield win top Storm best and fairests
BODE Stevens and Emmie Banfield have capped outstanding seasons by taking out Strathfieldsaye’s top football and netball honours for 2025.
Stevens polled 104 votes to be a runaway winner of the Peter Crapper Memorial senior football best and fairest.
Sam Heavyside finished runner-up on 68 votes.

In other senior football awards, Lachlan Ratcliffe won the most consistent trophy, Riley Wilson the coaches award, while league Rising Star award nominee Jed Daniels won the club’s equivalent award.
Stevens made it two awards for the night by claiming the goal kicking award with 18.
He was listed the Storm’s official best players in 12 of his 15 games played.
In A-grade netball, defender Emmie Banfield rounded out another consistent season by winning the best and fairest.

Midcourter Brooke Mangan was the runner-up, with sister Rachelle Mangan winning the Storm Spirit award.
The only team to make it through to grand final day this season, the 17-and-under netball team’s best and fairest was won by Lexie Fennell, with Lucy Paton the runner-up.
