Strikers and Lightning will take to court three at the State Netball Centre in Parkville at 7pm.
It’s been a superb first year for the Strikers who had a win-loss tally of 7-11 leading into this week’s match against Peninsula Waves.
The Tracey Brereton-coached Bendigo line-up took on the Waves following a 51-49 loss to Boroondara Express the previous round.
Strikers marked a 53-51 win against Lightning when the clubs met in the ninth round.
In-form players for Bendigo include goaler Milly Brook, defenders Ruby Turner and Charlotte Sexton.
A talented mid-court is brilliantly led by Kangaroo Flat’s Chelsea Sartori.
Winner of the Betty Thompson Medal as fairest and best in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL competition in 2023, Sartori plays a crucial role in setting up attacks.
Rotations for the Strikers through the mid-court include Sandhurst’s Heather Oliver, a multiple Betty Thompson medallist, and Kangaroo Flat’s Ash Ryan and Milly Wicks.
After missing many weeks because of injury, Wicks has slotted in to play a crucial role in centre or wing defence.
The Strikers are without Meg Williams because of an ankle injury.
Next Wednesday’s play includes the 23-and-under match between Bendigo Strikers and Melbourne University Lightning from 8.30pm.
Will be a tough task for the Jayden Cowling-coached Strikers as Melbourne had achieved a win-loss tally of 17-2 and a draw across the opening 20 rounds.
