KYNETON has unleashed another brilliant final term to score a twenty-one-point victory against Eaglehawk in Saturday’s seventh round of the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Football League senior footy action.

The Tigers and Hawks were both in great form going into the Indigenous Round match on the Hawks’ turf at Canterbury Park.

Scores were locked on 11-all at quarter-time, but the Tigers gained an eight-point break by the half.

The Hawks dominated most of the third, but were let down by inaccuracy as they scored 5.6 to 3.3.

Led by the play of Louis Thompson, Cameron Manuel and Mitch Comben it was Kyneton that charged clear of the Two Blues in the last term.

The Paul Chapman-coached Tigers added 4.2 to 1.4 to complete an 80-59 victory.

Cameron Manuel led the attack for the yellow and black with five goals as Rhys Magin added two majors.

Leading goalkickers for the Borough were Liam Marciano and Noah Wheeler on two each.

Best for Kyneton included ruck-rover Hamish Yunghanns, Frazer Driscoll and Jake Safstrom.

Eaglehawk’s top players were Dillon Williams, Billy Evans, Charlie Laangford, Noah Wheeler, Clayton Holmes and Brady Rowles.

The Hawks and Tigers are now locked on identical records on four-three, but Eaglehawk hold onto fourth place by 24 per cent.

In next Saturday’s eighth round, Kyneton is at home to Sandhurst while the Hawks head south to Castlemaine to tackle the Magpies at Camp Reserve.
