Wallis due for crunch talks
MITCH Wallis is due for crunch talks with Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge early this week as he weighs up his future.
Amid confusion over the contract offer put to Wallis by the Dogs, the midfielder-forward has a one-year deal on the table for next season, but that was only formally put to him late last week.
Wallis, 28, faces an agonising call on the next step of his career.
The Dogs have made it clear they want Wallis to stay and the son of Bulldogs legend Steve Wallis was also named vice-captain this year.
But after 18 games and 25 goals as an influential forward last year, Wallis dramatically fell out of favour in 2021 and managed only six games.
It is unclear what level of rival interest there is in Wallis, with a number of inside midfielders searching for new homes during the off-season.
