The Hawks carry a 12-point buffer on Diamond Valley and Western Athletics as round four is run after a two-week break because of the Victorian All Schools championships.<\/p>\n
Victory and doubling points through the PowerPlay in round three have put Eaglehawk on top of the ladder on 39 points.<\/p>\n
Western employed the PowerPlay last round and jumped to equal second on 27 with Diamond Valley.<\/p>\n
South Bendigo has scored 12 points to be seventh in premier division.<\/p>\n
A tally of 13 points has Bendigo Harriers on the sixth rung in division three.<\/p>\n
Echuca Moama and Bendigo University have scored 28 and 23 points to be third and fifth in division five.<\/p>\n
Saturday’s meet at Lar Birpa in Flora Hill’s Retreat Road starts at 1.30pm when hurdles of the 400m, 300m or 200m distance will be contested.<\/p>\n
Other track events are 200m, 800m, 3000m, and 4 x 100m relay.<\/p>\n
Field disciplines will be discus, hammer, high jump, and long jump.<\/p>\n
Non-scoring events are 100m, and the 1500m or 3000m walk.<\/p>\n
A talented Eaglehawk squad includes Catherine Monahan, Cooper Richardson, Terry Hicks, Daniel and Dave Chisholm, and Charlise McQueen.<\/p>\n
Athletes to watch for South Bendigo are Emma Orme, Kai Norton, Jasper Seymour, Jordyn Lewis, Oliver Muggleton and Emma Berg.<\/p>\n
