APPLICATIONS are open for Bendigo Bank’s 2025 academic year scholarship program.<\/p>\n

Over almost 20 years the program has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships, aiming to support recipients’ academic, professional and personal growth.<\/p>\n

Some of the 2025 scholarships on offer include the Bendigo Bank Uni Scholarship for rural and regional students, made up of 12 scholarships of $6500 per student, per year for two years, and the Bendigo Bank TAFE Scholarship for rural and regional students – five scholarships of $5000 per student, per year for two years.<\/p>\n

There’s also a Bendigo Bank Indigenous Scholarship Program constituting university scholarships of $6500 per student, per year for two years and $5000 TAFE scholarships per student, per year for two years.<\/p>\n

Yorta Yorta Dja Dja Wurrung woman Ailish Clements was one of the 386 students who received a scholarship this year.<\/p>\n

Currently studying at LaTrobe University in Bendigo, she said she faced many challenges while completing her VCE.<\/p>\n

“I had to move out and get my own place. That was a really big challenge for me to overcome and go through. I also fell pregnant in 2023 and had to complete my exams and VCE and graduate eight months pregnant,” she said.<\/p>\n

“It was hard, but it was really worth it. I look back and I’m so glad that I completed everything. Without this scholarship, I may not have been able to do that.”<\/p>\n

Applications for the 2025 program close on 31 January.<\/p>\n
