THE City of Greater Bendigo has invited all types of businesses from across the region to complete its brief 2025 Business Support Survey.<\/p>\n
The survey contains questions about business operations, skills and training, plus industry development within the business community.<\/p>\n
COGB Manager economy and experience James Myatt said the annual survey provides essential insights into the top priorities for businesses in the region.<\/p>\n
“(It) will help to gauge business confidence in our community and allows business owners to provide invaluable feedback that influences the growth of our economy,” he said.<\/p>\n
“Tell us about your business challenges, needs, and priorities over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n
“Your feedback will help to identify barriers and opportunities for local businesses throughout the region.<\/p>\n
“This will guide how the City can provide more ways to support local businesses so they can continue to develop and thrive.<\/p>\n
“(It’s) your opportunity to help shape the development of future City initiatives or programs.”<\/p>\n
2024’s survey identified issues including difficult tender processes, staff attraction and retention and various issues within the city centre.<\/p>\n
Feedback from business owners also listed a lack of tourists, the economy, lack of support, growth, and attracting more business and networking opportunities as areas of concern.<\/p>\n
This resulted in COGB engaging in a series of activations including holding a jobs expo to promote recruitment opportunities, and creating a new investment attraction role within its economic development team.<\/p>\n
The survey is open until Wednesday 2 April, and can be completed on the Let’s Talk Greater Bendigo website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
