CREATIVE works from 27 emerging and established local artists are currently being showcased at cafes, restaurants, bars and wineries around town as part of the City of Greater Bendigo’s Eat. Drink. Art. 2025 program.<\/p>\n

Venues include The Anxious Goat, Alium Dining, Beechworth Bakery, Hoo-gah, Peachy, Bunja Thai, Shiraz Republic and The Dispensary.<\/p>\n

Creative city officer Mandy Field said the program provides a new and engaging public platform for artists to display their work.<\/p>\n

“With so many art lovers coming to see the Frida Kahlo exhibition, they can also make the most of superb food and beverages that the region has to offer whilst seeing unique works from local artists,” she said.<\/p>\n

Jemima Lotika, whose work is on display at Peachy in View Street, said pairing artists with businesses is “a great idea” because it brings art into everyday spaces, making it more accessible while also giving businesses a fresh, creative touch.<\/p>\n

“I love how Bendigo values the arts by weaving creativity into the community, making it something people can experience daily,” she said.<\/p>\n

Beechworth Bakery’s Danielle Fry said it’s like the perfect blend of scone and tea \u2013 “comforting, enriching, and meant to be shared.”<\/p>\n

“Art brings warmth, character, and connection to our space, transforming a simple visit into an experience,” she said.<\/p>\n

“In Bendigo, where creativity thrives, we’re lucky to embrace art as not just decoration but as a key ingredient in our bakery’s charm.”<\/p>\n

The Eat. Drink. Art. 2025 program runs until Monday 12 May.<\/p>\n
