{"id":103698,"date":"2025-04-12T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-11T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bendigotimes\/?p=103698"},"modified":"2025-04-11T15:08:58","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T05:08:58","slug":"manufacturing-facility-opens-in-epsom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bendigotimes\/news\/manufacturing-facility-opens-in-epsom\/","title":{"rendered":"Manufacturing facility opens in Epsom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GERMAN railway infrastructure technology giant Vossloh has celebrated the opening of its new $25 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Epsom, after well-and-truly outgrowing its former Castlemaine site.<\/p>\n<p>About 50 staff have transitioned to Epsom, with the facility designed to accommodate future growth, including the potential to double its workforce.<\/p>\n<p>The facility features nearly $10 million in advanced machinery, including a $4.5 million Computer Numerical Control machine.<\/p>\n<p>Sustainability has been central to the site&#8217;s design, with a 228-kilowatt solar system, energy-efficient technologies throughout, and future-ready infrastructure to support renewable energy expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The new facility forms part of Vossloh&#8217;s Switch Systems division, one of four global business units focused on delivering &#8220;below-the-rail&#8221; solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Vossloh Australia&#8217;s general manager Boris Rozentoul said the flagship facility represents a major step forward for the company domestically.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2025\/04\/VS4_92492.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The new facility forms part of Vossloh&#8217;s Switch Systems division and features nearly $10 million in advanced machinery.
