EAGLEHAWK Secondary College and Golden Square Primary School have been announced as two of the 49 schools around Victoria that will share in more than $17.3 million in funding from the State Government\u2019s Planned Maintenance Program (PMP).<\/p>\n

Eaglehawk Secondary College was allocated $520,128.11 for works to achieve compliance on the school’s emergency Shelter-in-Place building as well as ceiling replacement, floor replacement, roof works and switchboard works.<\/p>\n

Golden Square Primary School was allocated $306,831.06 for deck replacement, door replacement, roof works and switchboard works.<\/p>\n

The PMP allows each funded school to undertake essential work in classrooms and other school buildings such as fixing roofs and replacing windows, maintaining ramps, painting, and resurfacing floors, as well as some external works like improving pathways.<\/p>\n

Works are determined by a rolling facilities evaluation process, which provides up-to-date information on the condition of schools.<\/p>\n

Including this latest round of funding, this program has funded $65.2 million for 211 projects at 207 schools in 2025.<\/p>\n

Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards said she was \u201cdelighted\u201d to see Eaglehawk Secondary College and Golden Square Primary School share in funding and looked forward to seeing the outcomes of the important maintenance works.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Premier and Member for Bendigo East Jacinta Allan said the Government\u2019s continued investment in schools across Bendigo \u201censures that our facilities are in the best condition for students and staff.”<\/p>\n
