South Bendigo Junior Football Club<\/a> players will be treated to a visit next week by Essendon<\/a> young gun Isaac Kako.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old will head to Harry Trott Oval for a junior footy clinic on Wednesday 23 July, only a few weeks after gaining an AFL Rising Star nomination in round 17.<\/p>\n

He earned the honour with a lively performance against the Gold Coast Suns in which he had a career-high 17 disposals, five tackles and one goal.<\/p>\n

Drafted by the Bombers with pick 13 in last year\u2019s National Draft, Kako has played all 16 games to date in his debut season and has kicked nine goals.<\/p>\n

Kako, who kicked a goal with his first kick in AFL football in round one against Hawthorn, is heading to South Bendigo as part of Red Energy\u2019s Born & Bred initiative.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to give back to local clubs and communities by providing memorable experiences for hundreds of aspiring footballers.<\/p>\n

The free clinic will consist of a one-hour skills and drills session facilitated by local coaches and talent, followed by a question-and-answer session and photo opportunities with Kako.<\/p>\n

There will also be giveaways for all involved, plus participants can enjoy a barbecue put on by South Bendigo.<\/p>\n

Red Energy will also make a considerable donation to South Bendigo Junior Football Club to fund their future endeavours, ensuring ongoing support for the local footballing community<\/a> and beyond.<\/p>\n

“We are incredibly proud to support these clinics and give back to the communities that have nurtured some of our greatest AFL talents,\u201d said Red Energy general manager business development David Holman.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy bringing these stars out to regional communities, we hope to inspire the next generation of footballers and provide them with unforgettable experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n
