BENDIGO Kangan Institute (BKI) Chief Executive Officer Sally Curtain’s almost six year tenure will come to an end after her appointment as Chief Executive of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/p>\n
Formed in 2014 by the merger of Kangan\u202fInstitute and Bendigo\u202fTAFE, BKI is one of the state’s largest apprenticeship and traineeship providers, supporting over 30,000 students annually and operating across eight campus locations.<\/p>\n
In a recent announcement, BKI board chair Sharan Burrow acknowledged the impact of Ms Curtain’s leadership.<\/p>\n
“Sally has been a truly inspiring leader,” she said.<\/p>\n
“Her warmth, integrity, and unwavering belief in the power of education (has) left a lasting mark on skills and training for Victoria.<\/p>\n
“I thank her for her outstanding contribution and wish her all the very best in her future role.”<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her time at the institute, Ms Curtain said it’s been a privilege to lead the organisation.<\/p>\n
“Our purpose has always been such a great source of pride, and I am so proud of what the team at BKI has achieved, and will continue to achieve, in the future,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I’ve been constantly inspired by the people I’ve worked with and the difference we make in people’s lives every day. I leave with a full heart and will always be a proud supporter of TAFE and vocational education.”<\/p>\n
Bendigo Kangan Institute will commence a recruitment process for a new CEO as soon as possible to ensure the organisation continues the important work already underway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
