BENDIGO Kangan Institute (BKI) has received funding as part of the State Government’s $5 million Yes to International Students Fund, which will go towards the establishment of a vocational Automotive Centre of Excellence Cambodia (ACE-C) in Phnom Penh.<\/p>\n
The Yes to International Students Fund is backed by the State Government’s Economic Growth Statement (December 2024) as a key initiative to support education providers in seeking global opportunities.<\/p>\n
BKI is developing the Centre of Excellence in collaboration with the Cambodian Government and the RMA Group, with which it signed a memorandum of understanding last year.<\/p>\n
The alliance aims to empower Cambodia’s future automotive workforce, equipping it with the expertise needed to support its communities and contribute to the country’s growth.<\/p>\n
Outgoing BKI CEO Sally Curtain said the investment will strengthen the institute’s partnership with Cambodia and reinforce its shared commitment to advancing vocational education.<\/p>\n
“Our TAFE engages internationally to keep up with rapidly advancing technology and training methodology,” she said.<\/p>\n
“Through the (ACE-C), we’re proud to continue supporting the development of a skilled workforce and creating pathways for students to thrive in the automotive industry both locally and globally.”<\/p>\n
Other fund recipients included William Angliss Institute, which provides vocational education for more than 3000 international students with a strong focus on hospitality, tourism and culinary arts.<\/p>\n
William Angliss will use its grant to deliver new diplomas and develop bilingual learning resources, establishing its presence in the global market while providing a pathway for Vietnamese students to undertake further study in Victoria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
