BENDIGO East Swimming Club’s coaching panel has received a huge boost of experience, with former long-time state representative Kahlia Marsh joining the ranks.<\/p>\n
No stranger to Bendigo, having previously swam for Bendigo Hawks, Marsh brings more than 15 years of experience to the panel under head coaches John Jordan and Anne Sherman.<\/p>\n
As an athlete, she represented Victoria numerous times, as well as Australia on the Junior Dolphins Trans-Tasman team.<\/p>\n
Her successes in the pool included Victorian open water and state age and open gold medals.<\/p>\n
A first-class resume includes stints as either the head coach or director of coaching of swimming clubs across Victoria, including Doncaster-Templestowe Swim Club and Boronia Penguins.<\/p>\n
In 2020, Marsh was elevated into the high-performance coaching pathways team of elite female coaches within Victoria.<\/p>\n
A move back to Bendigo to be closer to family has paved the way for her appointment at Bendigo East, regarded as one of Victoria’s and Australia’s strongest country swimming clubs.<\/p>\n
Bringing a deep understanding of grassroots swimming and a passion for athlete development, Marsh said she is thrilled to return to the local swimming scene and is especially excited to be coaching at a country club once again.<\/p>\n
She lives by the fun and motivating motto: look good, feel good, swim fast.<\/p>\n
Easily spotted by her sparkling shoes, pacing up and down the pool deck, Marsh believes confident, happy swimmers are the fastest swimmers, a message fully supported by those at the\u00a0The club was quick to welcome Marsh aboard.<\/p>\n
“In line with John’s and Anne’s strong communication philosophy, Kahlia is committed to keeping swimmers and families well informed, ensuring everyone feels supported and involved,” a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
