ETHEREAL five-time ARIA award-winning songstress Katie Noonan will descend upon Ulumbarra Theatre at the end of the month as part of her twenty-date headline tour across the country performing Jeff Buckley’s iconic album Grace in full.<\/p>\n

With more than 25 years in the industry, Ms Noonan has proved herself as one of Australia’s most hardworking, versatile and prolific artists.<\/p>\n

She has produced 29 albums throughout her career, achieving seven times platinum record sales and 29 ARIA award nominations spanning multiple genres.<\/p>\n

The former George frontwoman first introduced her own adaptation of Grace live in January this year, performing five sold-out nights at Sydney Festival.<\/p>\n

“In 1994, Jeff Buckley’s seminal debut album Grace was released into the world,” she commented.<\/p>\n

“I was 17 and never had I heard a sound world like this, never had I heard a band that unique and never had I heard a voice that expressive, exploratory and exciting.<\/p>\n

“This album is the single biggest influence on my musical journey and was an enormous inspiration for (George’s) debut album Polyserena and my 29 subsequent studio albums.<\/p>\n

“I was lucky enough to see Jeff live in 1996 and it was honestly a transcendental experience and one of the greatest concerts I will ever see.<\/p>\n

“His integrity, unique sound and achingly honest lyrics have inspired me so deeply and I’m honoured to present this body of work.”<\/p>\n
