THE City of Greater Bendigo is again partnering with the Peter Krenz Leisure Centre to deliver a series of low-cost outdoor fitness sessions for people of all fitness levels.<\/p>\n

As City sport and leisure coordinator Mark Sharp explained, the Spring into Motion fitness sessions will offer community members two six-week programs at the Strathdale Park sports precinct on Monday evenings between 27 October and 1 December.<\/p>\n

A Group Fitness Class will be held from 5.30pm on Mondays during the period and a Beginners Running Program from 6.30pm.<\/p>\n

“The two programs aim to give residents, in particular women and gender diverse community members, more opportunities to be physically active outdoors in the evening,” he said.<\/p>\n

“This is a really good opportunity for local residents to be guided by qualified fitness instructors at the group fitness sessions or the beginners running program.”<\/p>\n

Community members can choose either one of the programs (but not both) while young people aged 16 and 17 can register and participate with a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n

Each program costs $30 and includes six 45-minute sessions.<\/p>\n

The Strathdale Park sports precinct is most accessible via the car park in Reservoir Road.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Peter Krenz Leisure Centre also offers more than 30 reasonably priced Group Fitness Classes per week at its premises in Eaglehawk, including aqua aerobics, pilates, yoga, Active Adults, Blitz Class and BodyPump.<\/p>\n
