ACCLAIMED Gamilaraay artist Thelma Plum embarks on her first national acoustic tour in July after a run of shows in the US and Canada, with Bendigo’s Capital Theatre first up on the schedule.<\/p>\n

The 2025 best pop release ARIA Award winner for her latest album, I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back, first came to prominence in 2012 after winning the inaugural Triple J National Indigenous Unearthed Music Competition.<\/p>\n

Her debut studio album Better in Blak was released in 2019 via Warner Music Australia and attracted critical and commercial success, reaching No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart.<\/p>\n

Plum said she “actually can’t believe” this is the first time she has embarked on an acoustic tour.<\/p>\n

“When I started out playing shows it was just me and a guitar, but it’s been a long time since I’ve performed like that,” she said.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a big year, I am working on a new record, and it feels like the perfect time to pack up the songbook and play some intimate shows with my friend Toby and let the songs and the stories behind them breathe.<\/p>\n

“I hope to see you at one of the shows!”<\/p>\n

The Thelma Plum \u2013 I Don’t Play That Song Anymore Tour visits the Capital Theatre on Thursday 9 July.<\/p>\n

She will also be stopping off in Horsham, Geelong, Warrnambool, Canberra, Richmond, Avoca Beach, Kalgoorlie, Bunbury, Albany, Bellingen, Eltham, the Gold Coast, Eumundi, Devonport and Hobart on the tour.<\/p>\n
