Police are investigating a fatal crash in Castlemaine after a vehicle left the road and crashed during the early hours of Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to Langslow Street about 1.35am following reports that a car had left the roadway and crashed.<\/p>\n

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Victoria Police said the man is yet to be formally identified.<\/p>\n

Investigators are now working to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.<\/p>\n

The incident adds to Victoria’s road toll, with police continuing to urge motorists to take care on the state’s roads.<\/p>\n

Anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage, CCTV footage, or any information that may assist investigators is being urged to come forward.<\/p>\n

Police are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was travelling in the area around the time of the incident and may have observed the vehicle before the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.<\/a><\/p>\n

The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
