Bernardo\u2019s Queen\u2019s finals appearance has forced a slight rejig in Garland\u2019s travel plans.<\/p>\n
He was originally scheduled to fly to Sydney with his son to watch the following day\u2019s Tim Tszyu-Errol Spence Jr fight at Afterpay Arena.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was going Saturday morning, so I\u2019ve had to do a bit of rearranging of flights,\u201d Garland said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m now flying out at 6am on Sunday with my son and a few of his mates.<\/p>\n
\u201cHoping to be flying out happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Garland is under no illusions as to the task confronting them.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf Wrongly Accused gets a clear run, it will just win. It doesn\u2019t matter what the rest of us do,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing honest, he\u2019s probably got four lengths on the rest of the field ability-wise, but he\u2019s got box five.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of speed in (boxes) six and seven (Blink And Miss and Storm Hustler) and they\u2019ll want the rail.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf Wrongly Accused misses the start by half a length, it\u2019s probably anyone\u2019s race and she could win it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt not every day you race for a $100,000 first prize.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has got to begin a bit better than she did last start, but she\u2019s in with a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n
Equal third favourite in early betting markets behind Wrongly Accused and Off The Chart, Bernardo\u2019s Queen has won seven of 12 career starts and been placed once for $40,705 in earnings.<\/p>\n
Garland is currently enjoying some success with Bernado\u2019s Queen\u2019s sister Azzurro, who won for the second time in three weeks at The Meadows on Saturday night, pleasing follow ups to her luckless effort in the Pink Diamond Maiden Sprinter Final at Bendigo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
