BOOKING.com\u2019s top ten most welcoming towns list has named Bendigo as its number eight.<\/p>\n
The recognition was announced at the website\u2019s Traveller Review awards. Western Australia\u2019s Denmark and Margaret River, Queensland\u2019s Hervey Bay and Rockhampton, and Victorian border town, Mildura were also celebrated.<\/p>\n
City of Greater Bendigo tourism and major events manager Terry Karamaloudis said the acknowledgement highlights the region\u2019s strong accommodation industry.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis award is entirely due to the number of outstanding tourism operators we have in Bendigo,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cCongratulations to all of our hard-working accommodation providers who have undoubtedly had one of the hardest ever years.<\/p>\n
