{"id":74682,"date":"2021-03-04T04:57:43","date_gmt":"2021-03-03T17:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bendigotimes\/?p=74682"},"modified":"2021-03-03T16:10:34","modified_gmt":"2021-03-03T05:10:34","slug":"hub-offers-home-for-creatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bendigotimes\/news\/hub-offers-home-for-creatives\/","title":{"rendered":"Hub offers home for creatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CREATIVES from across the region are being offered three months free desk space with the aim of helping them get out of the house and back into a vibrant and collaborative environment.<\/p>\n<p>The offering has come from the Emporium Creative Hub in the old Toy World building on Mitchell Street and is supported by a range of backers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConducting online meetings with potential clients from the kitchen table while trying to home-school the kids can be pretty stressful,\u201d said David Hughes, manager at the Emporium Creative Hub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to help people transition back to a space where they can run their business professionally while interacting with other like-minded people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of the program there\u2019s up to six desks on offer with costs covered by a range of businesses and organisations including Hebron Films, the City of Greater Bendigo, and Bendigo Bank.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSimilarly to the Emporium Creative Hub, we play an important role in empowering everyone connected to our business to achieve success where it matters to them,\u201d said Justine Minne, Bendigo Bank\u2019s state manager for regional Victoria and Tasmania.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn supporting our customers, communities and partners to be their best, we aim to meaningfully and consistently connect with them in ways which will enable them to thrive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An initiative of Creative Victoria, the Emporium Creative Hub offers a range of facilities.<\/p>\n<p>With things like workspaces, meeting rooms with video-conference links, project and event spaces, a photographic studio, and fast internet, the Hub has many of the things that could help creatives get their ideas, projects and businesses off the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Caleb Maxwell of Hebron Films is supporting the free workspace program and is also a tenant at the Emporium Creative Hub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know how important a leg up can be for someone who is just starting out in their creative enterprise,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we are really keen to help local creatives get the best chance possible to make their businesses a success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd as a tenant of the space, we know how amazing it is, not just the physical space but also the network you&#8217;re able to tap into.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For more info and to apply visit <a href=\"http:\/\/emporiumcreativehub.com.au\"><strong>emporiumcreativehub.com.au<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CREATIVES from across the region are being offered three months free desk space with the aim of helping them get out of the house and back into a vibrant and collaborative environment.
