She gets a letter from her mother that says she was convicted for killing her father, but her mother says she\u2019s innocent,\u201d Frochot-Chauhan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTravelling to Australia from Canada, Carla needs to know the whole story, finding out exactly what happened 16 years earlier, when her father died, and her mother was convicted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Performed by a small, tight-knit local cast of nine, many of the actors have collaborated before, but haven\u2019t been involved in a show in the last 12 months due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s been online opportunities, but doing something for a live audience hasn\u2019t been possible, so it\u2019s nice to know we can do that again, and exciting to go and watch theatre again,\u201d Frochot-Chauhan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would be amazing if people can book to come to the theatre locally in Bendigo. There\u2019s no need to travel, it\u2019s a COVID-safe setting, and you can support the arts industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That setting, the Temperance Hall, in an \u201cold-fashioned\u201d space with an in-built stage, but Synchronicity PA have also installed an extra stage to create a multi-level performance space.<\/p>\n<p>Everything on set is red and white to represent purity meeting murder.<\/p>\n<p>Frochot-Chauhan said audiences will be engaged and curious as the mystery plays out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe element of trying to guess who did it, and never really being aware of who that might be, is something they\u2019ll enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They may also spot her on stage in two roles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m loving the challenge of playing Carla, and her mother 16 years back in time when the murder happened,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/3pRFSQK\"><strong>bit.ly\/3pRFSQK<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for tickets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GO Back for Murder this week with Synchronicity Performing Arts.
