LINDSAY and Jason Tod are more than just Domino\u2019s franchisees.<\/p>\n
The couple were recognised earlier this month with the company\u2019s Leadership Eagle award, one of Domino\u2019s most prestigious awards across Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n
The award celebrates those within the company who consistently demonstrate outstanding leadership and operational excellence all year around.<\/p>\n
Ms Tod said receiving the award was a huge recognition.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s recognised for leadership and showing integrity and working with purpose and vision, not just in your own business but in a broader Domino\u2019s community,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not like we go out with that in mind, but it\u2019s something we just do by taking those opportunities and it\u2019s pretty awesome to get recognised for the work that you do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr and Ms Tod have a shared 17 years of experience in Domino\u2019s and own six stores across regional Victoria, in Warrnambool, Ballarat and Bendigo.<\/p>\n
The franchisees run regular Doughraisers, raising funds for people, schools and charities in need in the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe like to be able to give back to the community, one of our goals as franchisees is to be able to give back to the community that supports us,\u201d Mr Tod said.<\/p>\n
Ms Tod said they especially wanted to give back during COVID-19 lockdowns.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing able to help people out always is one of our values,\u201d she said. \u201cWe partner with local homeless shelters and donate pizzas there; we also support lots of sporting clubs and small charity events.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re always open to supporting the community and there\u2019s lots of ways we do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple donated close to a thousand pizzas through their Lockdown Legends program last year, supporting people doing it tough through the pandemic.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not just Domino\u2019s, we\u2019re small business owners as well, we live locally we grew up here we just love being able to help people out where we can, COVID or no COVID,\u201d Ms Tod said.<\/p>\n
Mr Tod encourages members of the community to look at Doughraisers opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019d really like to invite people who have particular Doughraisers for a person or organisation that they\u2019d like to do to come and have a chat with us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
