Three leading local textile designers are displaying their work as part of the new exhibition in the Living Arts Space, running until Sunday, 11 July.<\/p>\n
Lucy King, Natalie Ryan and Libby Noblet use patterns in various ways to produce visually stunning works.<\/p>\n
Acting manager of tourism and major events at the City of Greater Bendigo Jemma Docherty said the exhibition showcases each different designer\u2019s styles and pattern-making methods.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach of the three designers have presented their original artwork for the exhibition to explain the different processes they have used to create patterns on everything from textiles and ceramics, through to paper, metal and plastic,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe methods bring an explosion of motif, colour and pattern repetitions that have been successfully applied to many different mediums with great results.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cushions, tea towels, plates and mugs are all part of the exhibition and a central projector illuminates a blank canvas and mannequins with the artists\u2019 designs.<\/p>\n
All the works on display are available for purchase at the Living Arts Space, which is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
