EMERGING and established creatives and their businesses can return to Emporium Creative Hub for an industry tailored incubator program starting next month.<\/p>\n
The Creative Industries Business Incubator was delivered primarily online during the toughest COVID-19 restrictions, but Hub manager David Hughes said he is excited to welcome participants to the space for the face-to-face program.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had an amazing cohort of creatives in our first program from photographers to street artists, visual artists to marketing professionals, sculptors to film-makers and more,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were many benefits to delivering our session online last year, but nothing beats connecting in person, and that connection with other creatives is a huge part of the program.<\/p>\n
\u201cCreative industries have been one of the hardest hit by the global pandemic, so being able to provide support during the recovery period is crucial to not only their success, but also that of the broader community.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s really important to us is to attract people who are serious about developing and growing their creative enterprise.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 14-week program includes workshops and mentoring sessions to be delivered by local firm Sertori Consulting.<\/p>\n
Program facilitator Leah Sertori said, \u201cWe\u2019re really excited to work with people who are open to learning new ways of thinking and operating to grow their creative enterprise.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first time anyone starts a new business it\u2019s both exhilarating and frustrating. There are steps in the process that can be taught, that are easy to learn and implement and proven to speed up development.\u201d<\/p>\n
