When it comes to children without disability, Mr Jacobs said the challenge comes from a lack of patience in children to give something a real go.<\/p>\n
\u201cNowadays, in the last four years, kids expect instant gratification, that\u2019s the struggle right now,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s great that you can see me do a head spin or handstand one-handed, but if they can\u2019t get it first go, they give up. For me in that aspect, I\u2019m trying to slowly break that down.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s kind of like hey look, I\u2019ve been through this and I\u2019m blind and you\u2019re more abled than me, you can do this better than I can surely.\u201d<\/p>\n
The SASS Ironstone Hill Open Day is at 9am on Tuesday, 6 July and Mr Jacobs is also holding free workshops on Wednesday, 7 July and Friday, 9 July at East Bendigo Hall for all skill levels.<\/p>\n
