One of Australia\u2019s most high-profile media commentators during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Norman Swan, is coming to Bendigo to promote his new book, So You Think You Know What\u2019s Good for You?<\/em><\/p>\n

Dr Swan said his purpose in writing the book was to provide clear information on health issues, from vaccinations to stress, to nutrition and ageing, so people can make \u201csensible decisions\u201d for themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo-one\u2019s got time to waste on stuff that doesn\u2019t matter, is wrong or isn\u2019t focused on your needs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur minds have been filled with things to worry about from insomnia, to screen addiction, to guilt about not eating a paleo diet\u2026 to what really can make us live longer better?<\/p>\n

\u201cMy aim is to get you to worry less and give you the information that\u2019ll allow you to make [decisions], whether you\u2019re 25 or 75.\u201d<\/p>\n

City of Greater Bendigo acting manager of Bendigo Venues and Events Jacoba Kelly said Dr Swan\u2019s popularity and profile means people should book soon for the event to ensure they don\u2019t \u201cmiss out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s such a huge interest, not just in responses to the pandemic, but also about our health and wellbeing and Dr Norman Swan is so well respected,\u201d Ms Kelly said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are delighted that Dr Swan is coming to Bendigo to talk to Robyn Lindsay [executive director clinical operations at Bendigo Health] and I have no doubt our audience will be enthralled.\u201d<\/p>\n
