THE Boomers\u2019 path out of the group stage of the Olympics has been set, following a series of qualifier events around the world.<\/p>\n

Australia already knew they had to go through Nigeria in Group B, but Germany and Italy round out the group.<\/p>\n

On paper, this was seen as the best-case scenario and makes the Boomers favourites to win the group.<\/p>\n

Germany knocked off Croatia in Croatia, while Italy brought down a Serbian side without NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.<\/p>\n

Group A features Team USA, France and Iran, with the final spot to be decided between Greece and the Czech Republic this morning.<\/p>\n

Group C has also now been sorted, with Slovenia joining Argentina, Japan and Spain.<\/p>\n

NBA star Luka Doncic carried Slovenia with a 31-point triple double against Lithuania.<\/p>\n

The Boomers\u2019 Olympic campaign will get underway on the 26th of July against Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The Aussie 12-man squad was named over the weekend, with draft hopeful Josh Giddey the surprise omission.<\/p>\n

It includes: Patty Mills, Dante Exum, Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Ingles, Aron Baynes, Matisse Thybulle, Josh Green, Jock Landale, Chris Goulding, Nick Kay, Nathan Sobey and Duop Reath.<\/p>\n
