JORDAN Clark, Charlie Constable and Quinton Narkle may need to leave Geelong to further their AFL careers.<\/p>\n
Clark \u2013 who is contracted until the end of 2022 \u2013 continues to be linked with a move home to Western Australia, while Constable and Narkle are both coming out of contract at season\u2019s end.<\/p>\n
The Cats trio were all overlooked for Saturday\u2019s match against Carlton with Shaun Higgins, Max Holmes, Mark O\u2019Connor and Esava Ratugolea getting the nod at selection.<\/p>\n
Speaking on SEN Breakfast, Sam Edmund and David King discussed whether the opportunity-starved youngsters will be at Geelong next season.<\/p>\n
Edmund: \u201cDo you think one, two or three will leave? Or will they all stay?\u201d<\/p>\n
King: \u201cI think there will be a couple that leave.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you\u2019re not getting opportunity \u2013 what\u2019s the point?<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you can\u2019t satisfy the club that you\u2019re a good enough AFL player to represent them in a time of opportunity, then you leave.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we\u2019ve become pretty used to that, haven\u2019t we?\u201d<\/p>\n
Clark, 20, has played seven senior games this year and hasn\u2019t been seen at the elite level since Round 9.<\/p>\n
Constable, 22, has made just three AFL appearances in 2021, taking his career games tally to 12 in almost four years, while 23-year-old Narkle has played eight matches this season.<\/p>\n
