AN exhibition examining themes around resilience and survival in a world increasingly impacted by climate change will take place over three days in August, before embarking on an additional tour of selected regional Victorian galleries.<\/p>\n
Climate Resilience is\u2026<\/em> will showcase the work of 20 diverse artists from around the Loddon Mallee region.<\/p>\n The exhibition has been set up as a platform for communication around how people and communities will work to adapt and survive into the future.<\/p>\n Six artists will be awarded cash prizes for their contributions, and categories include best original work, most innovative message, two youth artist awards, and best work from an emerging artist.<\/p>\n The exhibition is funded by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and is coordinated by Michelle McGoldrick, a graduate of DELWP\u2019s ADAPT Regional Climate Leadership Program.<\/p>\n \u201cArt is an important communication tool to support action on climate adaptation and resilience,\u201d Ms McGoldrick said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe diversity of artworks in the exhibition demonstrates how messaging around climate change can be communicated in different forms.\u201d<\/p>\n The Regional Climate Leadership Program commenced in early 2020 and was delivered online throughout the year with participants graduating in May 2021.<\/p>\n It supported a group of people from across the Loddon Mallee to build leadership skills to support communities to build climate change resilience.<\/p>\n
