ARCHITECTS have been appointed to work on three different school projects in a string of announcements made by the State Government last week.<\/p>\n
Bendigo-based E Plus Architecture will design the toilet block upgrades at Kangaroo Flat Primary School.<\/p>\n
Architecture Matters will take their works outside to plan Camp Hill Primary School\u2019s sensory garden and learning areas.<\/p>\n
They were also chosen to design an outdoor health and physical education hub at Bendigo Special Development School.<\/p>\n
All three projects are funded by the State Government, with the upgrades at Kangaroo Flat Primary School totalling almost $456,000.<\/p>\n
Works at Camp Hill Primary School are worth just over $172,000, and Bendigo Special Development School upgrades total just over $303,000.<\/p>\n
The money was drawn from the Minor Capital Works Fund, used for priority projects that improve school learning spaces, condition and character.<\/p>\n
Member for Bendigo East, Jacinta Allan, said the projects would benefit school communities and provide employment opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery student should have a great school, no matter where they live,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019re investing in hundreds of small but important projects that will make a big difference for schools and create jobs for Victorians.\u201d<\/p>\n
Member for Bendigo West, Maree Edwards, said the outdoor hub at Bendigo Special Development School would add to its \u201cgreat learning environment\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe new outdoor space will add a wonderful new area for students to enjoy and learn in,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
