THE City of Greater Bendigo has announced a new grants fund for eligible businesses.<\/p>\n
Over $700,000 is available for businesses as part of the City\u2019s $2 million COVID-19 support package included in this year\u2019s budget.<\/p>\n
The grants are divided into five streams and open until Thursday, 23 September for businesses withing the municipality with an ABN.<\/p>\n
The streams available for application include up to $2000 for planning, training and development, $5000 for a business launchpad, $10,000 for innovation and growth, $12,5000 for precinct growth and $15,000 for research and development.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Dr Jennifer Alden said the City is always looking for ways to support businesses.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a competitive fund open to all eligible businesses and the aim is to build capacity and capability, encourage innovation and collaboration in a challenging environment,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEnsuring our local businesses are strong and vibrant and able to embrace innovation and creativity is the key to driving productivity and delivering more jobs.<\/p>\n
The outcome of the applications will be announced after 15 October. And grants will need to be spent by 31 March, 2022.<\/p>\n
