MITCH Wallis is due for crunch talks with Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge early this week as he weighs up his future.<\/p>\n

Amid confusion over the contract offer put to Wallis by the Dogs, the midfielder-forward has a one-year deal on the table for next season, but that was only formally put to him late last week.<\/p>\n

Wallis, 28, faces an agonising call on the next step of his career.<\/p>\n

The Dogs have made it clear they want Wallis to stay and the son of Bulldogs legend Steve Wallis was also named vice-captain this year.<\/p>\n

But after 18 games and 25 goals as an influential forward last year, Wallis dramatically fell out of favour in 2021 and managed only six games.<\/p>\n

It is unclear what level of rival interest there is in Wallis, with a number of inside midfielders searching for new homes during the off-season.<\/p>\n
