CHRISTMAS is quietly approaching, and one Golden Square resident is busily fulfilling personalised gift orders.<\/p>\n
Kirsten Boyd has been making Christmas baubles for over 20 years, and has expanded her range to include personalised wreaths, hats, and champagne glasses for families to use at the Christmas table.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been so long without being able to see family and friends that I just want to make that extra special, to be able to have their own place at the dining room table,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Ms Boyd moved to Bendigo two years ago and said she\u2019s excited to be able to travel to Melbourne and see her family, including her eldest child who she hasn\u2019t seen in four months.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll our family are in Melbourne so it\u2019s quite exciting for us, the fact we get to spend it with them,\u201d she said.\u00a0 \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m trying, especially with the glasses, to make it that extra bit special this year after the last two years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI try not to charge too much as well. I\u2019m not in it to make a fortune, I just want to see people happy. It\u2019s about coming together and seeing the joy on kids\u2019 and adults\u2019 faces.\u201d<\/p>\n
