FORMER Geelong tall Blake Schlensog could find his way back to Kardinia Park just 12 months after being delisted by the club.<\/p>\n

Schlensog, a former Category B rookie and Next Generation Academy member at the Cats, was culled at the end of the 2020 season.<\/p>\n

The ex-Cat joined South Fremantle for the 2021 season, developing into one of the best key position players in the WAFL, starring at both ends of the ground.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old was named in the WAFL Team of the Year and has attracted reported interest from Geelong ahead of the national, rookie and pre-season drafts.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe [Schlensog] was with us, and Geelong delisted him. he was very unlucky to be delisted,\u201d former Cats teammate Josh Jenkins told SEN Drive<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Geelong star and Brownlow Medallist Patrick Dangerfield praised Schlensog\u2019s dramatic improvement since leaving the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably the big knock on him was leg speed, if there\u2019s really good pressure up the ground,\u201d Dangerfield said. \u201cHe\u2019s improved dramatically over the past 24 months.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 199-centermeter utility averaged 15.3 disposals and 6.7 marks across 20 WAFL games this year.<\/p>\n

Schlensog also chipped in with 16 goals, including a five-goal haul against Peel Thunder and a four-goal effort against Swan Districts.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t play a senior game during his two years at Geelong.<\/p>\n
