ROSALIND Park has received a Green Flag award for the fourth year in a row.<\/p>\n
The award, launched in the United Kingdom in 1996, recognises well maintained parks and green spaces across the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe City is once again very proud that our wonderful Rosalind Park has been recognised with this award for the fourth consecutive year,\u201d City of Greater Bendigo manager of parks and open space Chris Mitchell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe award is a great example of the City\u2019s commitment to provide quality open space for our residents and for visitors to the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur fourth Green Flag emphasizes the important work of City staff and the community\u2019s experience of Rosalind Park.<\/p>\n
The 60-acre park is one of seven parks in Australia to receive the recognition, and the only in Victoria.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe City was awarded its first Green Flag in 2018 and this year Rosalind Park is once again the only Victorian park to be recognised which is a fantastic acknowledgement for Bendigo,\u201d Mr Mitchell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe City has made a considerable investment in Rosalind Park over many years and the Green Flag acknowledges and recognises this commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n
