THE thirtieth annual Centre State Swap Meet Show n Shine rolled into Bendigo last week.<\/p>\n
Held at the Bendigo Racecourse, the event focused on all thing\u2019s cars and motorbikes with the aim of creating something for all attendees to enjoy.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything is related to cars and there\u2019s so many collectables. You\u2019ve got a massive range of products, stuff that\u2019s nostalgic and brings out memories,\u201d said stall holder David Sevior.<\/p>\n
Bendigo turned it on for the event, with beautiful sunny weather setting the scene for the day and making it the perfect opportunity for a family outing.<\/p>\n
The swap meet have everything a rev-head could want, from oil filters to classic car magazines.<\/p>\n
Yet it wasn\u2019t all nostalgia and classic cars though, with attendees able to try their luck on a racing car simulator located in the Shannons Super Rig.<\/p>\n
Michelle Plasc said the event was a great chance to spend time with her family.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe came to have a look at the cars and show my kids around. We\u2019re also supporting my dad who has a 1926 Austin that he restored,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s a good event for families to see the older cars instead of just the modern stuff they see and the different variety of cars and motorbikes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Site holders and attendees both said it\u2019s a great feeling to be back after COVID-19.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s nice to be able to get back to swap meets and having a look at all the things that are around,\u201d Ms Plasc said.<\/p>\n
Mr Sevior echoed those sentiments.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter COVID it\u2019s just good to come out and try and sell some stuff,\u201d he said. \u201cI think people are just keen to get out and get back to some sort of normality. That\u2019s what everyone\u2019s after.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
