THIS Saturday, Bec Bottros and Vern Hardie from Rekindling Relationships are bringing their podcast to the Garden for the Future for a free live recording event for couples, parents and anyone wanting to explore the ins and puts of relationships.<\/p>\n
Hardie said the idea came about as they wanted to give people the opportunity to join in, have some fun, and learn about connecting with their partner.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe that it\u2019s really important for people to have an opportunity to do something fun and social, as well as something more adult flavoured,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to have a laugh and a bit of a talk about relationships, what\u2019s fun, what works and what doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe call it the reality of relating, because relating is fun but it can be really challenging, and we think there\u2019s a lot of fun in learning about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hardie and Bottros will be joined by sex therapist and counsellor Linda Kirkman and will have quizzes and activities for participants.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot just listen, we\u2019re also hoping for people to join in as well, have their own questions they want answered,\u201d Hardie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll talk about the importance of good communication in a relationship, how do we understand each other better, how do we work through a conflict. What we want to do is make it really accessible and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
There will be a food truck, and people can bring their own blankets, drinks and snacks.<\/p>\n
The Garden for the Future is located at the Bendigo Botanic Gardens in White Hills, gates open at 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start, with the event finishing at 8pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
