BENDIGO Community Health Services is calling on residents to provide feedback on the delivery of its services.<\/p>\n
The organisation runs over 50 programs across Central Victoria, covering families and children, mental health, alcohol and drugs, sexual health, men\u2019s and women\u2019s health, LGBTIQA+ support and refugee settlement.<\/p>\n
BCHS also helps people with specific health needs, such as chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease.<\/p>\n
Chief executive officer Gerard Jos\u00e9 said it\u2019s important people who access BCHS programs have a say in the organisation\u2019s strategic direction.<\/p>\n
\u201cBCHS works closely with our consumers and local organisations to ensure we are meeting current needs, particularly for those in disadvantaged communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis process will help us plan and shape our organisation to become the health service our community needs in the years ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will help us understand how many skilled staff we need, and where we need to place our services to meet the changing needs of the Bendigo and Central Victorian communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
BCHS is working with national disability and health service consulting agency Impact Co. to put together its new plan.<\/p>\n
The organisation has sites in central Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk, North Bendigo and Elmore.<\/p>\n
