Born just outside of Boort, Ms Marks first moved to White Hills at the age of six or seven and has lived in Bendigo ever since.<\/p>\n
Ms Marks\u2019 daughter Helen Fry said it was an emotional day for the family, but they were lucky to celebrate together.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re extremely proud, it upsets us actually because we can\u2019t believe it. She really is an amazing person,\u201d Ms Fry said.<\/p>\n
Even at 103, Ms Fry said her mum\u2019s kept her sense of humour and still \u201csends everybody up a bit\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe really likes people, she\u2019s very sociable so she really enjoys people,\u201d Ms Fry said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s never thought of her age, ever. Age doesn\u2019t count to her, it\u2019s only a number, so that\u2019s a good attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n
