AUSSIE icons The Wiggles are hopping in their big red car and hitting the road to the regions, stopping in Bendigo in July to perform four shows.<\/p>\n
Tickets to the Superhero Tour sold out in just seven minutes last week and purple Wiggle, Lachlan Gillespie, said members of the indefatigable group were ready to get back to live performing for their young fans following COVID restrictions.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s what we do best but it\u2019s also what we love the best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe really did miss it and you don\u2019t quite realise how much you\u2019ve missed it until you get to start doing again, to see the kids\u2019 faces particularly on this regional tour when you\u2019re so close and you just see the joy it brings.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor a lot of the kids it\u2019s their first show and you can see that, they\u2019re all so different, they\u2019re either sitting still and taking it all in or they\u2019re dancing. It is so beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
Four shows at The Capital will include a mix of morning and matinee sessions featuring Gillespie, original blue Wiggle Anthony Field, Simon Pryce, Tsehay Hawkins, Caterina Mete and John Pearce.<\/p>\n
Gillespie said touring regional areas remained a focus for the group and brought joy to audiences both young and young at heart.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s even more of an appreciation for bringing the show to the regions and that\u2019s what The Wiggles have always tried to do, is get to those places that don\u2019t get as many shows,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love this tour, personally, I love getting back to all these places, it\u2019s the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
The tour will travel throughout Victoria as well as some locations in South Australia and New South Wales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
