BASKETBALL wizardry will take over Red Energy Stadium on Sunday, 10 July as the Harlem Globetrotters bring their highly anticipated Spread Game world tour to Bendigo.<\/p>\n
The tour promises an unforgettable night of impossible shot-making, rim rattling dunks and plenty of laughs as the Globetrotters take on historic rivals the Washington Generals, with ner fan experiences.<\/p>\n
For Jahmani Swanson, known as Hot Shot, it will be his first time in Australia and the team\u2019s first time on Aussie courts for three years.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody knows Australia goes crazy over basketball,\u201d he said. \u201cI never been to Australia, but I have a lot of fans there from my videos over the years.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy fans have been dying to meet me, I\u2019ve chatted to so many and now the opportunity to go over there is a dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n
At four-foot-five Swanson is the shortest Globetrotter of all time and has gone viral on social media through videos showing his speed, agility and ball handling.<\/p>\n
He said his favourite part about being part of the team is inspiring people across the world, and helping children deal with bullying and celebrate their differences.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went through adversity, I still face adversity and I overcome it every day,\u201d he said. \u00a0\u201cFor people born different or look different, they\u2019re inspired by me. I feel like a superhero.\u201d<\/p>\n
Swanson said the Spread Game tour will bring \u201csomething people have never seen before\u201d and the team can\u2019t wait to hit the court.<\/p>\n
\u201cAustralia\u2019s going to go crazy,\u201d he said. \u201cWe love Australia, we\u2019ve been talking about it since last September when we found out that we were going.\u201d<\/p>\n
