A HUGE fifty-nine goal win has not been enough for Sandhurst to reclaim top spot on the Bendigo Netball League A Grade Ladder.<\/p>\n
The Dragons recoded the 89 to 30 goal victory over Golden Square at home but the percentage booster wasn\u2019t so great as to overcome rivals Kangaroo Flat at the top of the table.<\/p>\n
Not to be out done, the Roos registered their own big victory, winning 26-64 down the highway at Kyneton.<\/p>\n
The dualling outcomes mean both top teams are two wins clear of third placed Gisborne with four rounds to play, and guaranteed post season action.<\/p>\n
For their part Gisborne also had a big win playing at home, downing ninth placed Strathfieldsaye 61 to 14.<\/p>\n
At Camp Reserve then fifth placed Castlemaine took on South Bendigo, who were in fourth, and when the dust settled on the 45 to 27 goal outcome the ladder placings were reversed.<\/p>\n
The final five is now all but locked in, with the Bloods the only team mathematically at risk of dropping out of post season contention.<\/p>\n
They sit on eight wins, with a log jam of Kyneton, Maryborough, and Eaglehawk in sixth to eighth respectively all on four victories.<\/p>\n
One more win in season 2022 for South Bendigo would lock out the chasers, with the Bloods facing Gisborne, Strathfieldsaye, Maryborough, and Eaglehawk down the stretch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
